Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a Bindery Operator 1 for a rotating 12-hour night shift in Monroe, WI. The role starts around 7:00 PM and runs to 7:00 AM, with every other weekend and a $3 premium differential. Base pay ranges from $20.15 to $22.40 per hour, with standard benefits and overtime potential.

Strong bindery skills and knowledge of paper handling are required. As a Bindery Operator, you will set up and run bindery machines, inspect safety and quality, and coordinate multiple stations.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with different paper weights, sizes, kinds and colors.
• Familiarity with basic mathematics to understand dimensional requirements contained in job orders.
• Ability to use standard and specialized tools to adjust and maintain bindery machines.
• Skill in making adjustments to powered machines using handtools.
• Ability to read and interpret written work indicating machine operations.
• Knowledge of operating procedures for bindery equipment.
• Working knowledge of set up, adjustment, procedures, and capabilities of bindery equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate a variety of auxiliary binding machines with several heads and attachments.
• May set up automatic bindery machines with multiple functions to produce final products.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues.
• Make needed adjustments to coordinate multiple work stations on a single machine.
• Direct crew through all aspects of production.
• Monitor quality, output and productivity.
• Other duties as assigned.
