Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a Bindery Technician for the 3rd shift in Wisconsin to set up and operate bindery and finishing equipment, producing books, catalogs and other printed materials.

You will supervise crew, monitor quality and productivity, and ensure safety while meeting production goals. The position offers a night shift with pay of $21.00–$26.26 per hour plus a $2 shift differential, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret written work orders or other job specifications containing bindery requirements and to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Must be able to calculate distances, clearances, and fits in combining machines.
• Skill in using the full range of standard and specialized tools to adjust and maintain bindery machines.
• Knowledge of complex bindery machines and their folding, collating, and finishing operations.
• Thorough knowledge of set up and operating requirements of bindery equipment.
• Knowledge of paper stock quality and compatibility with finishing processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate bindery machines and finishing equipment.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues and monitor performance.
• Direct crew through production processes and coordinate multiple stations.
• Monitor quality, output and productivity to meet standards.
• Make adjustments to optimize throughput and finished product quality.
