Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons in Minnesota (Chanhassen) is seeking a 12-hour night shift Bindery Operator on a fixed front schedule (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Thursday. This role offers a $2/hr shift differential and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will set up and operate bindery machines, supervise a production crew, monitor quality and productivity, and ensure safe, efficient finishing of printed materials.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret written work orders or other job specifications containing bindery requirements.
• Must calculate distances, clearances, and fits for combining machines.
• Skill in using the full range of standard and specialized bindery tools to adjust machines.
• Knowledge of the set up and operating requirements of bindery machines for folding, collating and cutting.

Responsibilities

• Direct crew through all aspects of production.
• Monitor quality, output and productivity.
• Ensure safe operation of bindery equipment.
• Adjust multi-station bindery machines for optimal performance.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to EEO guidelines.
