Job summary

Sheridan is hiring for a Manufacturing Associate – Finishing/Bindery on a nighttime shift in a full-time role. You’ll learn on high-speed bindery equipment and contribute to producing books and printed materials. No prior bindery experience required as training is provided.

Responsibilities include feeding/signatures into machines, packing, quality checks, and teamwork to meet daily production goals. Benefits after 30 days and overtime opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.
• High school Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills, add/subtract, and ability to use a measuring device.
• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools.
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements.
• Take pride in doing quality work.
• Show up reliably and work well with a team.

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into machine.
• Pack books into cartons.
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation.
• Perform hand operations as required.
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace.
