Job summary

UPS seeks an Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. You will service delivery vehicles with diesel, gasoline, and alternative propulsion systems, troubleshoot electrical and engine controls, and maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities include DOT compliance, tool use, and reporting to shifts; uniforms and benefits are provided. This permanent role offers weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possesses full complement of personal hand tools.
• Works full time shifts: 8-10 hours per day, 4-5 days per 7-day week.
• Dependable with ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment.
• Operates standard and manual transmission and power tools.
• Maintains and repairs delivery vehicles with various propulsion systems.
• Wears personal protective equipment as required.
• Works in variable temperatures and humidity and communicates about safety.
