Job summary

UPS is seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join the fleet maintenance team. You will maintain a diverse range of vehicles and propulsion systems, including diesel, gasoline, and alternative fuels. The role requires using diagnostics, performing brake and electrical system work, and handling a broad set of tools.

You must have an active driver’s license and be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, with varying schedules by location. Union postings include specific wage ranges and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current automotive mechanical experience required.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment and scan tools.
• Must possess a full set of personal hand tools.
• Active driver's license is required.
• CDL (Class A/B) - preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements as applicable.
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, climbs ladders and stairs, and stands/walks throughout shift.
• Sits infrequently during tasks.
• Uses hand tools with fine motor control and reaches from floor to above shoulder level.
• Operates standard and manual transmissions.
• Operates power and pneumatic tools.
