Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria, IL is seeking an Assembly and Test Specialist for the East Peoria Undercarriage. You will assemble, test, rework and repair components, operate test machines, and prepare prime products for shipping. Starting pay is $23.22/hour with a shift premium.

This full-time supplemental role is on a 3rd shift (Sun–Thu 11pm–7am) with potential transition to a 2nd shift based on needs. Relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• Safety: Maintain logs and PPE; promote safe work area.
• Manufacturing: Follow standard processes; basic computer tasks.
• Mechanical: Use and maintain complex tools and machinery.
• Collaboration: Work as a team; share ideas for improvement.
• Accuracy and Detail: Ensure inventory accuracy; perform quality checks.
• Effective Communications: Communicate clearly with team and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, rework and repair machine components.
• Operate test machines to test final drive assemblies.
• Prepare prime products and attachments for shipping.
• Perform salvage operations in assembly areas as needed.
• Disassemble and reassemble complex assemblies to repair components.
• May operate remote control crane to move equipment.
• Caterpillar will train applicants with strong work history.
