Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Assembly and Test Specialist for the East Peoria Undercarriage in East Peoria, IL. The role focuses on assembling, testing, and reworking prime product components to ensure quality and reliability.

Starting pay is $23.22/hour, with a 3rd shift (Sun–Thu, 11pm–7am) and potential transition to 2nd shift depending on business needs. This supplemental full-time position requires reading and writing in English, safety compliance, and the ability to work in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Safety: Conducts daily maintenance and keeps safety logs; uses PPE.
• Manufacturing Processes: Documents standards and follows production processes; basic computer tasks.
• Mechanical/Machinery: Operates and maintains complex tools and machinery.
• Collaboration: Works as a team with positive attitude for continuous improvement.
• Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Inventory accuracy; uses checklists and performs quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, rework and repair machine components.
• Operate test machines to test final drive assemblies.
• Prepare prime products and attachments for shipping.
• Performs required salvage operations in assembly areas as necessary.
• Disassemble and reassemble complex assemblies to repair or replace damaged parts.
• May operate remote control crane to move prime product.
