Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria, Illinois, is seeking an Assembly and Test Specialist for 2nd and 3rd shifts. You will assemble and test machine components, operate test machines, and prepare prime products for shipping.

This supplemental position offers overtime, a starting pay of $23.22 per hour plus $1 night shift premium, with training during 1st shift and a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, prior work/volunteer experience helpful.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Mechanical background or industrial assembly experience preferred.
• Good communication, safety awareness and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assembling and testing components, reworking and repairing parts as needed.
• Operating test machines to test final drive assemblies.
• Preparing prime products and attachments for shipping.
• Salvage operations in assembly areas when required.
• Disassembling and reassembling complex assemblies for repairs.
