Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Pontiac, IL is seeking an Assembly and Test Specialist for 2nd/3rd shifts. You will assemble and test fuel injectors and pumps, exhaust systems and PETU tanks, operate test machines, and repair components as needed.

Requirements include at least 6 months in manufacturing or engine maintenance, ability to follow schematics or blueprints, strong communication and teamwork, and a safety-focused mindset. Starting pay is $23.22/hour with $1.00 night shift premium.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing or engine maintenance.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions (schematics, standard work, blueprints).
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, rework and repair fuel injectors and pumps using hand and pneumatic tools.
• Assemble exhaust systems and PETU tanks with pumps, wiring harnesses and insulation.
• Operate test machines and disassemble/reassemble complex components to repair injector parts.
