Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria, IL is seeking an Assembly & Test Specialist for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts. You will perform routine assembly and testing of prime product components, with paid training during first shift. The role includes operating test machines, rework, and occasional crane operation to move final products.

The position offers supplemental hours, a starting rate of $23.22/hr with a $1.00 shift premium, and comprehensive benefits. Relocation is not offered, and travel is limited.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; familiarity with manufacturing processes.
• Mechanical background or prior assembly experience.
• Good communication and strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends; training provided.
• Basic computer operation skills and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Assembling and testing, reworking and repairing machine components.
• Operate test machines to test final drive assemblies.
• Prepare prime products and attachments for shipping.
• Perform salvage operations in assembly areas as necessary.
• Disassemble and reassemble complex assemblies to repair or replace parts.
• May operate remote control crane to transport prime product.
