Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, FL is seeking a skilled Technician, Show Systems Surveillance to perform nightly maintenance of audio/visual, projection, laser, and network systems. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and log actions in the CMMS to ensure safety and reliability across venue systems.

The role requires 5-7 years of experience, knowledge of A/V theory, and the ability to work the night shift.

Qualifications

5-7 years of experience preferred in A/V systems design, installation or maintenance.
Advanced knowledge in the setup and ongoing maintenance of audio/visual systems.
CTS Certification preferred.
Ability to perform night and third-shift maintenance and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Perform nightly preventative, diagnostic, and corrective maintenance of A/V equipment, projection, laser, and network systems.
Diagnose system failures and implement immediate and long-term corrective actions to improve reliability and safety.
Enter data into CMMS and log inspections, repairs, and parts used; follow chain of command for issues.
Train new technicians on venue-specific PM work orders, procedures, and safety practices.
Respond to downtimes and show element issues, performing repairs and coordinating with internal partners.
Complete projects or modifications to A/V or network equipment as directed by engineering or attraction operations.
