Job summary

Universal Kids Resort is seeking a dedicated Theatre/Entertainment Technician to ensure day‑to‑day operation of all venues, shows and events. You will manage lighting, audio, show controls and effects for live performances, run startup/shutdown procedures and maintain show timing as directed.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year theatre tech experience; preferred certifications include Q-Sys, Dante, Christie, SMAART, ETCP/Esta, and AVIXA CTS ANP, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a Theatre or Stage Technician environment.
• Experience with Q-Sys systems preferred; or an equivalent education/experience.
• Preferred certifications include Q-Sys, Dante, Christie, SMAART, ETCP/Esta, AVIXA CTS ANP.

Responsibilities

• Operate technical components (lighting, audio, show controls, effects) for live performances.
• Ensure show readiness with proper presets, cues, and timing.
• Coordinate with Leads and management; document daily checklists and maintenance.
