Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort is seeking a night-shift technician to support Ride and Show lighting control systems. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnosing failures, and applying corrective actions across dimmer racks, DMX networks, and control consoles.

You will update CMMS entries and coordinate with engineering and operations teams to ensure lighting integrity and show fidelity. The role requires 5–7 years in complex lighting equipment repair, ETCP certification is preferred,

Qualifications

• 5-7 years experience in troubleshooting and repair of complex lighting/control systems.
• Programming experience with lighting consoles and DMX protocols.
• ETCP certification preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on show lighting controls and related equipment.
• Diagnose failures, implement corrective actions, and reference technical manuals and CMMS.
• Modify lighting fixtures/designs as directed and document changes in CMMS.
• Train and assist team members on venue PM procedures and recovery processes.
• Respond to downtimes and ride recovery issues following safety rules and procedures.
