Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced electrical maintenance technician to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on animation, special effects, and ride/show control systems. You will install, test, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical equipment across resort venues.

Responsibilities include servicing electrical wiring and components, completing inspections and work orders, and ensuring proper grounding and compliance with OEM specifications.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Technical school is preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in troubleshooting and repair of complex electro-mechanical systems including hydraulic and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and predictive maintenance as prescribed by OEM and UO Engineering specifications.
• Completes inspections and creates work orders for discrepancies; conducts electrical tests (continuity, current, voltage, resistance).
• Repairs equipment for safety, reliability, or show quality issues found during PMs or downtimes to improve ride reliability.
• Troubleshoots down to failed component using test equipment, schematics, and prints; maintains electrical control systems.
• Performs modifications of electrical systems per engineering specifications.
