Job summary

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in social work, Shelter Operations or related field; supervisory role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train, schedule, and develop shelter staff across shifts.
• Mentor staff and provide ongoing support and role modeling.
• Submit staff timesheets and leave notifications; ensure overnight coverage.
• Ensure incident reporting is timely.
• Ensure shift teams complete duties satisfactorily.
• Oversee nightly operations; keep shelter clean, safe, and secure.
• Maintain supplies and resources for operations.
• Uphold policy, compliance, and contractual obligations.
• Assist clients in transitioning from homelessness to shelter; manage nightly intake and morning exits.
• Communicate with management; report activities.
• Intervene in client crises with trauma-informed and assertive engagement.
• Maintain daily records and submit reports.
• Submit shift reports and monthly summaries.
• Maintain professional relationships with service providers, volunteers, staff, and community.
