Job summary

Hunt Companies, Inc. is seeking a Service Desk Team Member to join a 24-hour desk at J – 53, NH – 156, Camp Allen or Newport News locations in Norfolk, VA. You will assist residents with general needs, leasing tasks, move‑in/out, and respond to emergencies as needed.

The role requires shift work from 11:00pm to 7:30am, Monday through Friday with rotating weekends, totaling 40 hours weekly. Training on the online work order system is provided, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–6 months of customer service experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, and write routine reports.
• Basic math and problem-solving in standard situations.
• Familiarity with MS Word, Internet/Intranet and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming telephone calls and forward to the correct team.
• Assist with referral/placements, move-in/out processes.
• Maintain fax machines and perform clerical duties.
• Train residents on online work orders when needed.
• Register residents, assign room numbers, issue keys.
• Respond to work orders and input requests.
• Report issues to property management staff.
• Coordinate day-to-day customer communications and relationships.
