Job summary

Securitas, Inc. in Downers Grove, IL is seeking an Operations Support Specialist to provide after-hours support to the District Manager and Field Service Manager.

The role includes updating schedules, tracking incident and vehicle reports, and assisting with uniform fulfillment. The position requires supervisory experience, an Associate’s Degree with at least 1 year of security operations experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a reliable means of communication (cell phone).
• Must have reliable transportation (public or private).
• Must hold or be able to obtain a valid driver's license in the state/country they reside.
• Must have the legal right to work in the country where they reside.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Must have a High School diploma or secondary education equivalent, or GED.
• Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Must have prior Supervisory experience.
• Associate's Degree and 1 year of experience in security operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.

Responsibilities

• Manages call-offs for Line Management and ensures proper coverage.
• Maintains a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures; acts to ensure that staff members understand and comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Communicates and coordinates with line management regarding scheduling, staffing, equipment, record keeping, and related matters, to ensure smooth delivery of services; makes scheduling and staffing adjustments as needed to meet client requirements while controlling labor costs; reviews reports to ensure that commitments have been met and client directions have been followed.
• Performs tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for assigned office.
