Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Security Officer for the 3rd shift on a per diem basis at Lourdes Health System, 1600 Haddon Ave. The role protects people and property, screens for weapons, and supports patient and staff safety.

Responsibilities include monitoring cameras, conducting rounds, and coordinating with law enforcement during emergencies. A HS diploma, valid driver’s license, and 2+ years of security experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years security experience preferred.
• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• SORA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard, patrol, and monitor buildings, grounds, and property to protect lives and property and prevent theft, fire, vandalism, and unauthorized entry.
• Assist visitors, patients, vendors, and staff with directions and a positive experience.
• Conduct weapon screening at public entrances using approved technology.
• Monitor alarms and security cameras and respond to emergencies and incidents.
• Provide escort and access control as needed and document shift activities.
• Respond to CODE Security and CODE RED alerts as needed and escalate appropriately.
