Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a part-time Security Officer in New Jersey. You will safeguard buildings, monitor grounds, assist visitors, patients, vendors, and staff, and respond to emergencies while upholding Virtua policies.

Your duties include patrols, access control, weapon screening with EVOLV, incident reporting, and collaboration with law enforcement as needed. A HS diploma and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years security experience preferred.
• Ability to stay levelheaded and respond quickly in stressful situations.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties across posts, including walking and mobile security rounds and stationary posts.
• Monitor doors, surveillance cameras, alarms, and manage access control.
• Assist visitors, patients, vendors, and staff with directions and ID verification.
• Respond to emergency situations (CODE Security/RED) and assist with hazardous spills as needed.
• Document incidents, complete shift logs, and coordinate with leadership for issue resolution.
