Job summary

FirstService Residential in Miami Beach, FL is seeking a Security Officer to welcome residents and guests, monitor access, and maintain safety across the property. The role requires strong customer service, bilingual English/Spanish, and a Florida security license.

You will operate electronic security systems, log daily records, and respond to emergencies. Shifts include nights and weekends with comprehensive benefits and a 401k match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• College level courses in business or hospitality preferred.
• Valid Florida Security License “D”.
• Must possess strong customer service background.
• Two to three years of business experience in a similar position preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual in English & Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates excellent customer service, communication, and time management skills.
• Monitors and operates Electronic Security Control Systems and Emergency Response Systems.
• Responds to emergency situations in a timely manner.
• Monitors and controls access to the building.
• Accurately maintains daily logs, records, and forms.
• Maintains a safe and secure environment throughout the building/property.
• Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
• Works shifts that are subject to change based on property needs.
• Reads and understands The Continental Employee Handbook/Security Standard Operating Procedures.
• Attends Security / Front Desk staff meetings.
• May be assigned other duties by the on-site Community Association Manager.
