Medical City Dallas is hiring a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift (7:00 pm–7:00 am) with rotating weekends. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborate with the care team, and advocate for patients and families in alignment with our standards and values.

The role emphasizes nursing assessments, care planning, patient education, and coordination across departments to ensure exceptional outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Associates degree ok to start; Bachelor’s degree required within 24 months of hire.
• Current RN license in the State of TX or compact license.
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care hospital within the last three years is required.
• Experience in Ortho is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine the health status and needs of patients through interpretation of health data.
• Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care using a systematic approach.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of patient health status.
• Formulate and implement nursing care plans based on diagnoses and identified problems.
• Deliver nursing care within RN scope and compliant with applicable laws.
• Develop and implement patient teaching plans for promotion and restoration of health.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
• Care for multiple patients directly or via delegation within the care team.
• Evaluate patient responses and outcomes to interventions.
• Apply critical thinking to analyze data and current literature for nursing decisions.
