Job summary

Halifax Health is seeking a Night Registered Nurse for the Intensive Surgical Care Unit in Florida. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care according to the nursing process, directing care for LPNs, CNAs, and other team members.

Responsibilities include admission assessments, patient/family education, medication administration, and coordination with the multidisciplinary team to ensure positive outcomes and timely discharge.

Qualifications

• RN license in Florida; bachelor degree preferred.
• Completion of general and nursing orientation.
• Unit orientation and unit-specific competency checklist.
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and colleagues

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care per nursing process.
• Direct, delegate, and coordinate all nursing care provided by LPN, CNA, and Unit Clerk.
• Assess patient on admission and ongoing; identify learning needs.
• Document assessments and plan care; involve family as desired.
• Administer medications according to established policies and ensure patient safety.
