Halifax Health is seeking a Night RN for the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit in Daytona Beach, Florida. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care using the nursing process, directing and coordinating care with LPNs, CNAs, and unit staff.

Requirements include Florida RN license and a preferred BSN; strong communication and adherence to confidentiality are essential for quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• State of Florida RN license required.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Completion of general and nursing orientation.
• Completion of unit orientation and unit-specific competency checklist.
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families and colleagues.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and acts ethically at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care per the nursing process.
• Direct, delegate, and coordinate nursing care provided by LPN, CNA, and Unit Clerk.
• Assess patient on admission and ongoing; monitor changes.
• Involve family/significant others in the plan of care as applicable.
• Administer medications according to established policies.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve desired patient outcomes.
• Initiate individualized teaching plan for discharge and timely rehab.
