Job summary

Backus Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Plainfield, CT. The ED cares for patients across ages, with a collaborative, patient-centered care model and a strong interdisciplinary team.

You will work under the Nurse Manager to implement evidence-based practices and high-quality care. The position requires acute care experience, CT RN licensure, BLS; ACLS, TNCC, PALS, and CPI certifications are expected within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• One (1) year critical care RN experience required.
• Current unrestricted CT RN license; BLS required. Ability to obtain ACLS, TNCC, PALS, and CPI certifications within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process to develop individualized plans of care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care for patients and families.
