Job summary

Backus Hospital in Plainfield, CT invites you to join its Emergency Department team as a Registered Nurse on the night shift (7pm–3am). You will work within a 12-bed ED, collaborate with RNs, ED techs, physicians and support staff to deliver patient-centered care using evidence-based practices.

Requirements include graduation from a nursing program with BSN preferred, CT RN license, and at least 1 year of critical care experience; BLS is required with ACLS/TNCC/PALS/CPI certifications to be

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program; BSN preferred.
• 1 year of critical care RN experience required.
• BLS required; ability to obtain ACLS, TNCC, PALS and CPI within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to obtain/maintain moderate sedation within 9 months of hire.
• Current CT RN license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in a collaborative ED environment.
• Utilize nursing process to develop and implement care plans.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.
