Job summary

Backus Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Plainfield. The role requires 1 year of critical care RN experience, a current CT nursing license, and BLS; ACLS/TNCC/PALS/CPI certifications should be obtained within 90 days of hire.

This ED unit supports a wide patient mix and uses Epic ASAP for documentation. The position offers a night shift (11p-7a) with a sign-on bonus eligibility and opportunities to contribute to a high-performing, patient-centered care team

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• One (1) year critical care RN experience required.
• BLS required. Ability to obtain ACLS, TNCC, PALS, CPI certifications within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Monitor patients using ED tools and EHR (Epic ASAP) to ensure safety and high satisfaction.
