Job summary

Backus Hospital's Emergency Department in Plainfield is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our 12-bed unit. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, you will provide evidence-based, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population.

Requirements include BSN preferred, 1 year critical care RN experience, BLS, and CT RN license. Certifications ACLS/TNCC/PALS/CPI should be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing school with RN licensure in CT.
• One year of critical care RN experience required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS, TNCC, PALS, CPI to be obtained within 90 days.
• Ability to obtain moderate sedation authorization within 9 months.

Responsibilities

• Use nursing process to develop a care plan addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams under Nurse Manager supervision.
• Maintain high-quality, patient-centered care for diverse patient populations.
