Job summary

Ochsner Health System in Houma, LA seeks a Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist for the Chabert campus night shift. You provide respiratory care, oxygen services, and ventilation support for neonatal to geriatric patients under physician orders and procedures.

The role requires an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred), current LA RT license, NBRC RRT, BLS, and ACLS within 90 days. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Current Louisiana Respiratory Therapist license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced respiratory therapies per policy.
• Document and review clinical information for each patient.
• Educate patients and colleagues on procedures and treatment plans.
• Perform diagnostic procedures as ordered.
• Provide care aligned with age-specific needs and safety requirements.
• Adapt communication and care to diverse patient populations.
