Job summary

Ochsner Health in Louisiana seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide RT-CRT services, oxygen therapy, diagnostic testing and ventilation support for patients from neonatal to geriatric. The RT-CRT draws, analyzes, and reports ABGs and delivers intermittent therapy as ordered by physicians.

Required: Associate’s degree and valid Respiratory Therapist license in the state; NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); BLS; ACLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; bachelor's preferred.
• Strong data entry and documentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; teamwork.
• Proficiency with Windows and clinical software.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced respiratory care procedures.
• Review and document clinical information for each patient.
• Educate patients and co-workers on procedures and plans of care.
• Provide age-appropriate care across neonatal to geriatric patients.
• Adhere to policies and maintain patient privacy and safety.
