Zusammenfassung

UNC Health Nash seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide professional respiratory care from newborns to geriatrics in the NGH Pulmonary unit. Responsibilities include critical care and general patient care under NC Board guidelines.

The position is full time, onsite, with a 36-hour work week and a night schedule. Requirements include CAHEA-approved program, NC licensure, RRT (or eligibility), and current BCLS/ACLS.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of a CAHEA approved training program in respiratory care.
• Current license to practice respiratory care in North Carolina.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or eligible to sit for exam.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.

Aufgaben

• Administers standard Respiratory Care including aerosol medication delivery, oxygen therapy, and arterial access procedures.
• On-call may be required days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Manages ventilator care and weaning techniques as needed.
• Maintains and updates knowledge; may train staff and assume Charge Therapist responsibilities.
• Accurately records all patient care details in the EMR per policies.
