Job summary

The Good Samaritan Home of Quincy seeks a compassionate registered nurse to join our home health team. Positions available: full-time and part-time on evening and night shifts. Competitive pay ranging from $36.58 to $38.58 per hour, with benefits and bonuses.

Travel to patient homes is required. Responsibilities include patient home visits, assessments, vital signs, medication reviews, and patient education to improve quality of life.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma/Associate/Bachelor) or vocational nursing.
• Current state RN license.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Visit patients in their homes for one-on-one visits.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments of home health patients.
• Assess conditions, chart observations, take vital signs, review medications.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physician.
• Educate patients and families on home health care strategies and devices.

Responsibilities

• Visit patients in their homes for one-on-one visits
• Complete initial and ongoing assessments to identify the physical, psycho-social, and environmental needs of home health patients
• Assess patients' conditions and chart observations, and perform evaluation tasks including vital signs and medication review
• Administer medication as prescribed by the patient's physician
• Educate patients and their families on proper home health care strategies and procedures, and make recommendations for devices or tools that might improve the patient's quality of life
• Provide effective communication to patients/clients, their family members, team members, and other health care professionals

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's School of Nursing, or vocational nursing
• Current state license as an RN
• Proof of current CPR certification
• Compassionate, friendly demeanor
• Excellent communication skills
• Current driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally
