Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our night shift team in Rockville, MD. This role requires ARRT certification and a Maryland radiographer license, with a sign-on bonus and a per-hour pay range listed.

You will prepare patients, perform radiographic procedures, maintain equipment, and adhere to radiation safety standards. AHC offers paid time off and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited radiologic technologist program.
• ARRT certification and Maryland Radiographer license required.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for diagnostic imaging procedures and explain procedures.
• Produce x-ray films for diagnostic use.
• Maintain equipment and keep exam area clean and stocked.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and protect patients and staff.
• Document patient care in charts and records.
• Take x-rays following established patient care and safety procedures.
• Use radiation protection and shielding materials as needed.
• Prepare contract media and contrast agents (barium).
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
