Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist to support diagnostic imaging procedures and patient safety.

This full-time night-shift role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus payable in three installments.

Qualified candidates must hold ARRT and Maryland Radiographer license, be BLS certified, and have a high school diploma or GED; prior radiology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited radiologic technologist program.
• ARRT certification and Maryland Radiographer license required.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for diagnostic imaging procedures and explain procedures.
• Produce x-ray films for diagnostic purposes.
• Maintain equipment and keep work area clean.
• Ensure exam room has proper supplies.
• Recognize equipment issues and report failures to the Manager.
• Follow radiation safety procedures for patients and staff.
• Document patient care in charts and records.
• Take x-rays following established patient care procedures.
• Use radiation protection and shielding materials.
• Prepare contract media and barium.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Graduate from an accredited radiologic technologist program

ARRT(R) and Maryland Radiographer License Required

Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
