Job summary

Adventist HealthCare’s Outpatient Imaging is seeking an experienced Registered Radiologic Technologist for our Rockville, MD office. You will perform diagnostic imaging per protocol, document in RIS/PACS, and ensure ALARA safety while delivering patient‑centered care.

This full‑time role requires ARRT RT(R), Maryland license, BLS, and strong customer service. A $10,000 sign‑on bonus is offered, with a 3‑installment payout, and a 40‑hour workweek with daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required.
• AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Radiography or an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology.
• 1 year radiography experience preferred.
• ARRT R.T.(R) certification.
• Maryland Radiation Technologist license.
• Active BLS certification required.
• Strong customer service and critical thinking skills.
• Supports Adventist HealthCare's mission and RISES values.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment and multitask.
• Basic PC skills including RIS/PACS experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of office practices, procedures and equipment.
• Stocking and management of supplies/linen for assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging studies per protocol with proper patient identification and ordering.
• Accurately documents in HIS, RIS, and PACS systems.
• Monitors and assists patients before, during, and after examinations.
• Practice ALARA principles, including shielding.
• Maintain patient, organization, and employee confidentiality.
• Provide age-appropriate care for pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
• Receive patients, explain procedures and answer questions.
• Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate volume.
• Assist in orienting new employees and radiography students.
• Participate in PI projects and other duties as assigned.
