Job summary

United Future is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for the night shift in the Roanoke area. You will lead QA personnel on the production floor and in the laboratory to ensure products meet food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include coaching, auditing, and collaborating with production to resolve quality issues, while driving continuous improvement and compliance with certifications and customer specs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or related technical education.
• 1–3 years of QA experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of food industry practices and safety standards.
• Laboratory testing experience and familiarity with equipment.
• Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and team development skills.
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Willingness to work the overnight schedule and flexible coverage.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA personnel, set daily priorities, and communicate expectations for quality, safety, and timely completion of work.
• Develop team members through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
• Partner with Production and other departments to address quality concerns and maintain food safety standards.
• Oversee assigned quality management programs, including documentation, training, and internal audits.
• Support compliance with regulatory, certification, customer, and product specifications.
• Review laboratory results for accuracy, investigate exceptions, and identify unfavorable trends.
• Recommend process improvements based on testing data and quality performance.
• Prepare for and assist with internal audits and external regulatory, certification, and customer assessments.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts that strengthen product quality and customer satisfaction.
