Job summary

RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC in the Roanoke area is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for the night shift at a confidential beverage manufacturer. The role leads QA on the production floor and in the laboratory to ensure product quality and compliance with food safety standards.

You will develop the team, review testing results, support internal and external audits, and partner with plant departments to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or comparable education in a related field.
• Background in biology, chemistry, food science, health sciences, or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing and QA.
• Experience with laboratory testing in a production setting.
• Strong analytical, math, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and team development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA personnel on the production floor and in the laboratory.
• Develop team members through coaching, training, and feedback.
• Partner with Production and other departments to address quality concerns.
• Oversee QA programs, documentation, training, and internal audits.
• Support regulatory, certification, customer, and product specifications.
• Review laboratory results, investigate exceptions, and identify trends.
• Recommend process improvements based on data and quality metrics.
• Prepare for and assist with internal audits and audits by external bodies.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to strengthen product quality.
