Job summary

ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC in the Roanoke area of Virginia is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for the night shift. This role leads QA personnel on the production floor and in the laboratory to ensure products meet food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

The position reports to the plant leadership, oversees audits, analyzes testing data, and drives continuous improvement to strengthen product quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or comparable college or technical education in biology, chemistry, food science, or related field.
• One to three years of relevant work experience.
• Manufacturing experience and knowledge of food industry practices.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing in manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, organization, and team development skills.
• Ability to work the stated overnight schedule with flexibility for coverage.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA personnel, set daily priorities, and communicate expectations for quality, safety, and timely completion of work.
• Develop team members through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
• Partner with Production and other departments to address quality concerns and maintain food safety standards.
• Oversee assigned quality management programs, including documentation, training, and internal audits.
• Support compliance with regulatory, certification, customer, and product specifications.
• Review laboratory results for accuracy, investigate exceptions, and identify unfavorable trends.
• Recommend process improvements based on testing data and quality performance.
• Prepare for and assist with internal audits and external regulatory, certification, and customer assessments.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts that strengthen product quality and customer satisfaction.
