Zusammenfassung

BD is seeking a Shift Leader in Puerto Rico to train new production associates and assign tasks to meet schedules. You will guide manufacturing operations, verify setup, and ensure compliance with QSR, ISO 13485 and Safety regulations.

The role requires leadership, bilingual abilities, and hands-on experience in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing. Training at the Juncos plant may be required for a limited period.

Qualifikationen

• Good mathematical skills.
• Good computer skills and familiar with Windows platform.
• Basic NCMR's knowledge.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
• Preferably bilingual (Spanish & English).

Aufgaben

• Receives production, conducts cycle counts and receives and verifies raw materials. Ensures materials required for assigned shifts are available.
• Train employees in proper production techniques and practices for operations to be assigned.
• Assigns employees to various jobs to comply with production schedules.
• Ensures that products are completed in a timely manner to comply with production requirements.
• Lead production operations to ensure manufacturing specifications and procedures are followed.
• Verifies that set-ups and line clearances are performed in accordance to approved procedures. Ensures equipment and surrounding areas are properly identified, clean and free of extraneous materials and products.
• Participate in Manufacturing Initiative (5S, BDPS, PVD Boards, etc.).
• Review production documentation. Ensures that DHRs are completed and accurate prior to delivering them to Quality Assurance.
• Ensures that production reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner to Accounting Department.
• Ensures that acceptable quality levels are maintained for production processes and that all ASR, ISO 13485, and safety regulations are met.
• Assure the cleaning and housekeeping procedures in the production areas are maintained in legible and orderly manner.
• Verifies environmental conditions to ensure that they are within specified limits. Notifies Engineering Department immediately of any deviations.
• Reviews and enters production data on SAP system at the end of each shift.
• Maintains supplies of indirect manufacturing materials.
• Notifies Manufacturing Facilitators immediately of any equipment malfunction that may affect production quality and/or output.
• Maintains a constant check of components and raw materials transferred to production area and product manufactured in order to keep accurate inventory and ensure smooth flow of production.
• Pursue ongoing goal of cost reductions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Manufacturing Supervisor.
• Ensures that own work is performed in compliance with QSR, ISO Standard.
• Participate in the SSU and Tier 1 meeting.
• Coaching the associates to lead the SSU and Tier 1 meeting.
• Other tasks may be assigned to support manufacturing activities, as required.
