Job summary

BD in El Paso, TX is seeking a Shift Leader to coordinate manufacturing operations on the 3rd shift (Wed/Thu) and weekends. You will lead production teams, drive safety, quality, and productivity while maintaining compliance with FDA/GMP/ISO standards and BD Quality System.

You will foster a high-performance, inclusive culture, manage staffing, and execute Kaizen and continuous improvement projects to achieve targets and right-first-time manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business administration or related field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience in regulated environments (medical device/pharma/healthcare).
• Proven leadership of production teams and shift operations.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, continuous improvement, and problem-solving methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day production activities to meet schedules and customer requirements.
• Monitor safety, quality, delivery, and productivity KPIs; drive improvements.
• Coach and develop production staff; conduct performance reviews and handle escalation.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, ISO 13485 and BD Quality System requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and lean events to reduce waste.
