Job summary

Polytainers Inc. in Lee's Summit, MO is seeking a Printing Shift Supervisor to manage the printing department during the night shift, ensuring cost, quality and customer service meet expectations while driving continuous improvement.

The role requires leading a team on the shop floor, maintaining training, enforcing safety standards, and collaborating with quality and maintenance to optimize uptime and output. Strong leadership and manufacturing experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years of leadership experience in progressive manufacturing environments.
• Experience in midsize to large manufacturing with fast-paced made-to-order processes.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office; effective data handling and reporting.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, total quality, SPC, HACCP, SQF and cGMPs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise People: Manage and resolve personnel issues; lead Performance Improvement Process; control absenteeism; manage training & training matrix; ensure conduct standards; foster good labor relations.
• Supervise Shop Floor Performance of Shift: Ensure quality and schedule attainment; write storyboards and actions for PQIs; manage productivity and labor budgets; coordinate vacation planning; improve uptime and OEE; manage utilities, inventory, and QSCOT.
• Support and Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities; lead improvement projects; implement process changes and ensure SOPs are developed; train team members to high standards.
• Communicate and Report On Performance: Hold daily audits; conduct cell leader meetings; collect data; submit daily production reports.
• Training: Responsible for training Team Members on cGMPs, Food Safety and Quality procedures.
