Polytainers Inc. is seeking a Printing Maintenance Technician in Lee’s Summit, MO. The role provides technical support for the print cell, handling maintenance, repairs, and efficient operation of printing equipment.

The technician will perform machine changeovers, preventative maintenance, and communicate issues to leadership. A fast-paced production environment requires problem-solving and documentation, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Minimum two years’ experience in maintenance in a fast-paced or high-speed environment.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair using machine shop equipment.
Must read and understand blueprints; basic pneumatics knowledge.
Proficient with mechanics’ hand tools and precision measuring tools.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical machine issues by identifying, reporting, and performing emergency repairs.
Execute work orders and other repairs (e.g., clean and lubricate machines).
Report performance issues and repairs to Group Lead or Production Supervisor.
Perform changeovers: mandrel changes, flame setup, feeder re-stacker, conveyors, counters, and re-stacker tuning.
Record production issues on shift reports and update schedule board with equipment issues.
Maintain and clean color heads and ensure smooth operation.
Inspect machine parts such as filters, exhaust pipes, cooling systems, and belts.
