Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in Wisconsin seeks a hands-on supervisor to lead all departments within the facility, ensuring GMP/SQF compliance and adherence to quality and CI programs while supporting employee growth.

You will oversee production scheduling, supervise dryer operations, coach team leaders, and partner with maintenance and QA to sustain safe, efficient operations. A high school diploma and 3 years' food manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow GMPs and work in a manner consistent with corporate, regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements to produce safe quality food.
• Supervise dryer functions, plant personnel, and associated activities.
• Ability to troubleshoot production and equipment problems.
• Train and monitor employees on safety, chemical safety, and cleaning procedures.
• Champion a continuous improvement culture at the facility.
• Drive continuous improvement programs such as 5S, Kaizens, Poke Yoke, and Idea Funnel.
• Monitor and document waste and resources to improve cost and quality.
• Review production schedules to ensure schedules are met and adjust as needed.
• Determine correct operating parameters for product and review with Plant Manager.
• Coach, assist, and develop team leaders for success.
• Assure smooth operation and communications between team leaders and production employees.
• Monitor and drive the Food Safety Plan.
• Assist QC in maintaining sanitation and quality levels.
• Assist management in maintaining regular audits (USDA, AIB, etc).
• Monitor and drive plant safety; participate in safety programs; investigate incidents.
• Work with Maintenance to conduct preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Assist Lab and warehouse departments as needed.
• Complete required duties in SAP, Kronos, and other plant recording programs.
