1810 Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, DE is seeking a FT Night Phlebotomist to collect and process blood specimens for laboratory testing. This 36-hour/week role includes 12-hour shifts on Fri, Sat and Sun, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus plus shift differentials.

The role requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent, 1–2 years of phlebotomy experience, and relevant licenses. Phlebotomy certification and a state driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy Technician certification preferred.
• Class D Driver's License preferred.
• 1–2 years phlebotomy experience required.

Responsibilities

• Obtains quality blood samples for all age groups.
• Ensures accurate patient identification and proper labeling.
• Handles specimens—processing, transport, and storage.
• Explains procedures and addresses patient concerns.
• Troubleshoots common operational issues in the lab area.
• Provides training to new staff and students.
• Handles sharps and biohazardous materials per regulations.
• Works with computer systems and HIPAA compliance.
