Job summary

MemorialCare Laguna Hills is seeking a Registration Representative for the night shift on a per diem basis. You will handle patient registrations, verify insurance details, and collect payments in Epic while delivering friendly, efficient service to patients and staff.

The role requires 1–2 years in hospital admitting or similar, strong communication, and bilingual abilities preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and Microsoft Office is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in hospital admitting or equivalent healthcare.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service abilities.
• Bi-lingual preferred (English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese).
• General computer skills including EMR and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information in Epic.
• Collect and post patient financial responsibility; drop payments in the safe.
• Maintain registration accuracy rate of 95% or better and monitor work queues.
• Provide excellent customer service using Simply Better and AIDET principles.
• Answer PBX calls timely and route them appropriately; follow safety codes.
