Job summary

MemorialCare is seeking a Registration Representative PD to join the Admitting department in Laguna Hills, CA. This per diem, day shift role involves patient registration, insurance verification, and ensuring accurate data entry in the Epic EMR system.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in hospital admitting or similar settings, excellent communication and customer service skills, and familiarity with common insurance payors. Perks include health plan options and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of hospital admitting, physician office, or equivalent healthcare experience.
• Must communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of insurance payors: PPO, HMO, POS, EPO, Medicare, Medi-Cal, & CalOptima.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
• Register patients accurately in Epic.
• Collect and post payments timely and accurately.
• Maintain registration accuracy rate 95% or better.
• Answer calls, route appropriately, and follow emergency codes.
