Qualifications

• Requires current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate care and developmental levels.
• Up-to-date knowledge of patient care procedures and standards.
• Proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide drinks and assist with meal ordering.
• Encourage walking and assist with mobility.
• Assist with baths and provide clean linens and gowns.
• Obtain vital signs and report abnormalities to the RN.
• Maintain patient safety with gait belts and alarms.
• Remain within reach to ensure patient safety and rapid response.
