Job summary

IU Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for a full-time night role. The PCA will support bedside care, assist with meals, baths, and mobility, and help maintain comfort and safety for patients.

The PCA will collaborate with registered nurses, monitor vital signs, and communicate changes promptly while upholding infection control and safety standards. A compassionate bedside manner is essential for this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA or completion of IU Health PCA education program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, meals) and mobility.
• Provide comfort measures and ensure patient safety using gait belts and alarms.
• Monitor patients, obtain vital signs, and report changes to the RN or charge nurse.
