Job summary

Mercy Health in Boardman seeks a Patient Care Technician to provide direct patient care under RN supervision in a fast-paced hospital unit.

This full-time night shift (6:00 pm – 6:30 am) requires a STNA/CNA, nursing student, or 1 year of aide experience, with BLS. You will assist with vital signs, daily living activities, specimen collection and patient safety, in a compassionate care environment.

Qualifications

• Must have experience providing direct patient care and basic computer skills.
• Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide general patient care such as bathing, hygiene and linen changes.
• Observe patient responses and report to RN/Physician.
• Record vital signs and maintain accurate charts.
• Assist with mobility, positioning and range of motion.
• Assist with meals and feeding as needed.
• Perform bedside lab tasks and venipunctures as directed.
