Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for a part-time night shift in Youngstown, OH. The PCT provides direct patient care under the guidance of an RN, performing vital sign collection, basic care, and observation.

Strong communication and basic computer skills are required. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, STNA/CNA certification or first-semester nursing student status, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• STNA (State-tested Nurse Assistant) or HCA training with acute care cert, or nursing student with first semester clinical.
• BLS certification by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs general patient care under RN guidance.
• Obtains and records vital signs, height and weight.
• Observes and reports patient responses to RN/Physician.
• Assists with activities of daily living and comfort measures.
• Operates basic patient care equipment as directed.
• Delivers meals and assists with feeding.
• Assists with discharge planning under RN supervision.
